Nothing But Net
The VEX Robotics 2015-2016 season game is Nothing But Net. The goal of the game is to obtain a higher score than the other alliance. An alliance is formed of two teams that are randomly generated on a computer for match lists. The team your with in one match may be your opponent in another match.
An ordinary match begins with a fifteen-second autonomous period. There is no driving is autonomous period. The winner of the autonomous gets a 10 point bonus which gets added on to the score you get in driver control period.
After all robots and game items come to rest, and the autonomous winner is determined, the one minute and forty-five second driver control period will begin. This is where drivers will be able to drive their robots. After the driver control period, the match is over.
During match play in Nothing But Net, you have a variety of ways to score points for your alliance. The lowest way of scoring is to shoot or dump the green balls into the low net. This will earn you 1 point per ball. The next way to score is scoring bonus balls in the low net. That adds 2 points per ball. Then, you can score green balls in the high net for 5 points per ball, and bonus balls for 10 points per ball. Finally, you can climb your partner robot for 25 points if you are at least 4 in. off the ground, or 50 if you are completely above the field perimeter.

- 4 teams playing at a time; 2 Red vs. 2 Blue
- 94 green balls; 32 preloads per alliance
- 10 bonus balls
- 2 nets in field corners
- 4 robot starting tiles; 2 for each alliance
